In New Orleans, mixologists do far more than serve libations. Christine Nielsen is creating breathtaking concoctions and unforgettable memories with every sip. As a recent hire to the Cocktail Bar located in the Windsor Court Hotel, Christine revamped the selection of drinks that are served and can be found as a guest bartender in the Polo Club Lounge occasionally.

From traditional cocktail mixes to matchless, one-of-a-kind concoctions, Christine spends time once a week experimenting and exploring the realm of beverages. While she enjoys keeping recipes precise because some drinks “shouldn’t be modified,” she retains an open mind when mixing. Christine is accustomed to serving people from all over the world, and it’s a life goal to find a drink to satisfy every palate.

Originally hailing from Atlanta, Christine knew at an early age that mixing beverages was her passion. Her love for mixology is founded on the principle that it’s an art and science you’ll never know everything about; mixing is a lifelong educational journey that continues to enliven her.

Aside from tending at The Grill Room, Christine is a member of the United States Bartending Guild (USBG) where she networks with other professional bartenders and partakes in various seminars. She also volunteers at the Museum of the American Cocktail and is an alumnus from the Cocktail Apprentice Program, sponsored by Tales of the Cocktail.
